We’ve been working hard here at Cottage Creation workshop in Bridgton, on an exciting new projects. We’ve started working with several varieties of hardwood slabs, each ranging from 8 to 10 feet in length. ﻿﻿Discover the artistry of Maine craftsmen and elevate your home with our exclusive handmade wood creations at Evergreen Cottage Creations.

Starting the Process

Live Edge Prep: If you’re keeping the natural "live" edge, we use a drawknife to remove the bark. Bark eventually falls off, so it’s better to remove it now and sand the underlying wood smooth.<h2> </h2><h2 class="ql-align-center"> </h2>

Our cornhole boards don’t just look great—they’re built to last. We use 3/4" maple plywood (instead of 1/2") and solid 2x4 construction for superior durability. Each board is then finished with 4 to 5 coats of oil-based polyurethane to ensure long-lasting protection.
